In January, 2011 I went on a photo trip to Cuba with Richard Martin (

It turned out to be a combination of street and fine art photography. I'd like to share some of my images with you.
Essentially we began in rural Cuba, staying in the Vinales Valley

We spent an afternoon in Las Terrasas, a small community in Pinar del Rio province, which provided a window on rural life:

Trinidad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in the province of Sancti Spiritus in central Cuba, must be the loveliest town on the island. Friendly people in one photogenic setting after another -- a rare opportunity for both street and fine art photography! We could have stayed many more than our allotted three days.

Hard as it was to leave Trinidad, we were all eager to get to Habana, Cuba's legendary capital, and the fast lane ...

We stayed at the Parc Central, a lovely hotel a few blocks from the old capitol building. Right outside our door was a fascinating city offering the heart of Cuba and portraits of her people
